From the beginning, Blais Electric has been about more than just electrical work. Back in 2013, when Patrick was out in the field and Ami was managing the office, we knew that truly listening to our clients was crucial. We didn’t just hear their words; we understood their needs. This approach helped us identify a major issue in the industry: a lack of trust due to poor communication. We decided to build our business on clear, honest communication, and that has been the cornerstone of our growth.
As we’ve grown, we’ve constantly evaluated our direction. We know that intentional growth is key, and we’ve chosen to focus on maintaining personal relationships with our clients. While the big money might be in new construction (think sub-divisions), our true passion lies in the relationships we build. Yes, we’re dedicated to solving problems and creating comfortable living spaces in existing homes, but it’s the connections with people that truly bring us joy. Our team is carefully selected not only for their skills but also for their kindness and ability to listen, ensuring that we can transform a house into a home, one light switch at a time, while building lasting relationships with our clients.
Now, 11 years in, we’re excited to explore new areas of growth. Our focus is on electrification and reducing our reliance on fossil fuels. We’re expanding our services to include the installation of EV chargers, updating HVAC systems with heat pumps, and offering tailored smart home solutions. These changes not only align with our values but also with the global shift towards sustainability.
Ami and Patrick have been on a similar journey in their own personal home, just like our clients. They’ve been exploring ways to make their home more functional through smart home options, while also striving for a space that feels harmonious, joyful, and relaxed. Balancing the needs of their growing family and finding personal spaces within their home has been a part of their journey, all while managing the financial aspects of these changes. Ten years ago, they embraced solar energy, and more recently, they’ve upgraded to a fully electric HVAC system. Even our latest company vehicle has transitioned to a fully electric model. This journey reflects our commitment to sustainable and comfortable living, both in our personal lives and for our clients.
