Yes — but with a key condition. Ontario doesn’t yet offer province-wide rebates for standalone battery storage, but homeowners can access rebates of up to $5,000 through the Home Renovation Savings Program when battery backup is installed alongside new solar panels.

While Blais Electric doesn’t install solar systems directly, we work with trusted local solar partners and are happy to make a recommendation. If you’re interested in battery backup, we’ll help you coordinate the full setup and guide you through the rebate process to maximize your savings.

What’s the typical cost of a residential battery system?

Most Guelph and Tri-Cities homeowners spend between $10,000 and $25,000, depending on system size and integration (solar, EV charging, etc.).
